Graduate Student Symposium
Selling Yourself in a Buyer’s Market
(there’s never a bad time to get a Ph.D)
It is better to never start something than to start without a plan.
This 2nd ISECON/CONISAR Graduate Student Symposium is dedicated to helping attendees develop one, and will consider the challenges faced by recent and soon-to-be
graduate students (and the institutions looking for them) in navigating a decidedly tough job market.
The symposium will occur on Thursday, October 28 from 1 to 5 p.m.
George Nezlek
Associate Professor and IS Chair at Grand Valley State University will lead this first symposium for
graduate students only.
In addition, Susan Kruck, editor of JISE will present a special session on :"Publishing in IS Journals - Comments from an IS Journal Editor's Perspective"
